NOVA will hold its Fall Webinar – Practice Tips for Success at the CAVC – on November 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Now that you have taken your veteran’s case to federal court, let’s get you both out – successfully! In this 60-minute presentation, NOVA Board Member and CAVC Bar Association President Zachary Stolz will focus on proven strategies to get your veteran back to VA with a solid court order. Robert Chisholm, NOVA member and partner of Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick Ltd. (CCK), will moderate the event.
In addition to best practices, Zach will focus on the importance of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) to your practice, including why you should consider handling cases at this federal level or when to find another attorney to take your claim. The webinar will also cover general ways to plead your cases, how to work early remands to get out of court expeditiously, and what you need to know to get paid.
As a partner at CCK, Zach handles appeals and arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the CAVC, and the Board of Veterans Appeals. Prior to joining CCK in 2007, he worked for several years in the Judicial Appeals Office of the Disabled American Veterans. No stranger to federal court, Zach has represented thousands of veterans before the CAVC. Adding to his insight, Zach also serves on the Board of Governors for the CAVC Bar Association, and is Vice-Chair of the Federal Circuit Bar Association’s Veterans Appeals Committee.
NOVA’s Fall Webinar – Practice Tips for Success at the CAVC – is sure to expand your knowledge and benefit your practice! Please join us on November 18 to get an in-depth look at the CAVC process and what it takes to be successful at the federal level.
