We are very fortunate that both TradeWinds Island Grand and Guy Harvey Outpost properties sustained no major damage from Hurricane Irma and reopened this week. The NOVA Fall Conference will proceed as planned.

NOVA Board Nomination/Election Notice 2017 (Term 2018-21)

To All Sustaining Members: In accordance with the By-laws, the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates has selected its slate of candidates to appear on the ballot for the election to be held at the annual meeting on October 14, 2017.

The following candidates were selected:

• Chris Attig (incumbent)
• Joe Moore (incumbent)
• Matt Hill (incumbent)

Any Sustaining Member who also wishes to appear on the ballot must submit to the Secretary his or her nomination endorsed by 10 additional sustaining members. The Secretary must receive any such nominations by TODAY (September 14, 2017). Any such person properly nominated will appear as a candidate on the ballot for election.

The conference includes a one-day Basic Session scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2017. The Fall Conference, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14, is filled with a wide array of interesting and informative topics and presenters. Sign Up for NOVA Special Luncheon at the Fall Conference on Friday, October 13! 

NOVA will provide nine tables with seats available for attendees, where discussion will be led by experienced NOVA members and presenters on conference topics. Come interact with your colleagues and the presenter, discuss issues, and ask questions regarding the presenter's topic.

*As a result of hotel food and beverage requirements, we will not be able to accept on-site registrations for this luncheon. Registrations must be made in advance. We ask you to indicate one first choice and one second choice for your table. Please remember reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis. Your table will be confirmed once your registration has been processed.
