NOVA's next webinar, “Evidentiary Development at the Agency,” will air on Wednesday, April 25 at 2:00 pm ET. Courtney Ross and Michelle DeTore, of Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick, will present. Jonathan Greene, also of Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick, will moderate.
The presenters will discuss evidentiary development at the agency and review the different types of evidence necessary to win cases. They will also explain how to obtain and when to submit different types of evidence including lay statements, VA forms, and independent expert opinions. Courtney and Michelle will also discuss how to handle credibility and competency issues. Case examples will be included to provide a hands-on application of the concepts and topics covered.
Michelle DeTore serves CCK as the Claims Advocate Supervisor. She became an accredited practitioner before the VA in December of 2015. Over the years, she has helped over a thousand disabled veterans, their spouses, and family members secure their benefits before the VA Regional Offices and Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
Courtney Ross joined CCK in 2015 as an Associate Attorney. Her practice focuses on representing disabled veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Since joining CCK in 2009, Jonathan Greene has successfully represented hundreds of veterans at the CAVC and the VA. Jonathan manages the firm’s veterans disability practice, focusing on representing veterans and their family members with disability compensation claims before the VA.
