Chris served as a Field Artillery Captain in the US Army from 1993 - 2004. He graduated Airborne school, attended Ranger School and was selected for US Special Forces Assessment and Selection school before leaving the Army to practice law.
He has been licensed to practice law since 2003.
Since 2007, Chris has represented veterans and survivors before the Board of Veterans Appeals, the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and since 2017, has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
His spare time is spent with his wife and 3 sons (age 9 to 23), running a variety of foot races and marathons for certain non-profits, and as an Athlete Ambassador for the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS)
