John Tucker

For over 30 years, John Tucker has focused his law practice on assisting individuals in disability benefit claims.  In October 2021, John was elected to a three-year term on NOVA's Board of Directors.  He also serves as Chair of the Webinar Education Committee and has spoken at many NOVA seminars.

John is peer rated at the highest level by Martindale-Hubbel ("AV Rated"), and also has received the distinction of "10/10 - Superb" rating from avvo.com), designated as a "Florida Super Lawyer,"  received Florida Trend Magazine's "Florida's Legal Elit" award, Tampa Bay Magazine "Top Attorneys in Tampa Bay" award, and been recognized by the South Florida Business Review.  Tucker Disability Law has over 20 employees and a national disability benefits practice which includes representing individuals all over the U.S. in claims for:

- Veterans / VA Service-Connected Disability
- Individual Disability Insurance, 
- ERISA Disability benefits - employer group Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability, and
- Social Security Disability.

His headquarters office is in St. Petersburg, Florida (only 15 minutes from the Florida VA Regional Office), but has represented clients in all 50 states. In over 30 years of practice, he has handled thousands of VA compensation claims.  Even before COVID, the firm was in the cloud, interacting with clients all over the USA via Zoom or Teams video and using a state-of-the-art, encrypted electronic portal to exchange documents with clients to protect their privacy and give them 24/7 access to their files.

John is also active in the community.  He served for six years on the Board of Directors for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic and also served on the Board of Trustees of the Mid-Florida Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  In the legal community, Mr. Tucker was elected by his peers as President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and to offices in the Florida Justice Association and American Justice Association.
